Update - v3.0.1

  1. Various bug fixes and optimizations.

Update - v3.0

  1. Added "Swatches" which allows access to several industry-standard spot color libraries. Swatches can be filtered and sorted based on color information. Information provided includes RGB, HSB, Hex (for web) and CMYK on some Swatches.
  2. Updated (Art Directors Toolkit PPC) PPC version to keep its features up-to-date with (Art Directors Toolkit) Mac OS X and Mac OS 9 with CarbonLib version.
  3. The new Screen Ruler provides on-screen measurements of images and layouts. Units include Inch, cm, Pt, Pica and Pixels.
  4. Symbol utility includes "Font Info" which provides additional information about the selected font including the ability to select the Screen (and PostScript) font files in the Finder.

Update - v2.4

  1. Version 2.4 now runs on Mac OS X and Mac OS with CarbonLib 1.3 or newer. (Version 2.1.1 will continue to be available for download for systems running older versions of Mac OS without CarbonLib.)
  2. Mac OS with CarbonLib: Compatible with font menu managers (such as Adobe Type Reunion and Suitcase MenuFonts). Make sure "Use Hierarchical Font Menus" is not selected in the Preferences when your system has a font menu manager installed as it may generate unexpected results.
  3. Font menus can be updated either automatically or manually (set by preferences). This can cause a performance decrease when bringing ADT to the foreground, especially on systems with a large number of Fonts activated. If this feature is not enabled, fonts selected that are no longer active on your system will display as your system font (i.e. "Charcoal" or "Lucida Grande"). To update the fonts menu, just select the bevel button (with chasing arrows) to update you Font Menu. Selected fonts that are no longer available will be replaced with your current System Font.
  4. Pixels added as a standard unit of measure (based on 72ppi).
  5. Reworked menu/interface when running on Mac OS X to be more "Aqua-compliant".
  6. Removed version and platform from the file name and folder.
  7. Columns: Added a standard "Page Size" popup menu which contains Letter, Legal, Tabloid, A4, A3, B5 and B4 as well as Portrait and Landscape.
  8. Columns: Added Little Arrows to "#/Columns" allowing field to be incremented/decremented by 1.
  9. Optimized font management for increased speed and lower memory requirements.
  10. Known Issue (Mac OS X): When using "HierarchicalÕ font menus, styles of certain fonts (such as Skia), show up as "Italicized" menu items. Although these items can be selected, only the "Regular" version of that font is used. This is an issue with Mac OS X. We are looking into a work-around.

Update - Xv2.3.3

  1. Added "Visit ADT OnlineÉ" to the Apple/Application Menu. Use this menu for useful information about Art Directors Toolkit such as FAQ's, registration and updates.
  2. Fixed a bug in version 2.3.2 that caused some systems to crash during registration.
  3. Other minor optimizations.

Update - Xv2.3

  1. Hierarchical Font Menus: Both the "Symbol" and "Type Size" utilities now support Hierarchical Font Menus. This feature can be enabled/disabled in the Preferences Menu. (Default Enabled)
  2. Font menus are updated each time Art Directors Toolkit is brought to the foreground. If a selected font is no longer available, the default System Font is selected.
  3. Font Name Display: Font names displayed in the Global Results window now support unicode characters (such as Japanese).
  4. Text Display: All text results that are too long to be displayed in their text boxes are now truncated. To view the full text result, simply place your mouse over the information and a help tag will appear.
  5. Text Size Utility: A popup menu has been added to the Font Size field giving the ability to select pre-defined point sizes.
  6. Symbol: The "$" sign has been removed from the characterÕs Hex value.
  7. Other minor optimizations/bug fixes.

Update - Xv2.2

  1. Font menus are updated each time Art Directors Toolkit is brought to the foreground. If a selected font is no longer available, "Helvetica" or the default System Font is automatically selected.
  2. Edit fields for "pica" now support the "1p6" format.
