As of January 2002, Art Directors Toolkit has been shipped standard on PowerMac and PowerBook G4's from Apple Computer. If you purchased a Macintosh with Art Directors Toolkit pre-installed in your "Applications" folder under Mac OS X, you own a license for Mac OS X and are entitled to free same version updates. (i.e. If your computer came with Art Directors Toolkit 2.3, version 2.4 would be a free download--version 3.0.2 would be a commercial update that could be purchased for a reduced price.).

I've seen that Art Directors Toolkit 4 has been released, but my machine came with a previous version. Do I qualify for the upgrade price?
Absolutely! The license that came with your machine is qualified for upgrading to Art Directors Toolkit 4 at the reduced "upgrade" pricing. Just make sure you get the serial number by selecting "About Art Directors Toolkit..." from the "Art Directors Toolkit" menu before visiting our online store.

How do I check to see which version came with my machine?
A CD-ROM named "PowerMac G4 Applications" or "PowerBook G4 Applications" should have came with your machine. Insert this disk and check to see which version came with your machine. You have a license for version 2.x if you see a folder named "Art Directors Toolkit X 2.2" or "Art Directors Toolkit X 2.3". You have a license for version 3.x if you see a folder named "Art Directors Toolkit 3".

How do I obtain the serial number that came with my application?
From time to time, you may need your the serial number for your product (i.e. for purchasing upgrades). You can obtain this number by selecting "About Art Directors Toolkit..." from the Application menu. A splash screen will appear. Under the words "Art Directors Toolkit" you will see "S/N: " and a series of numbers/letters. Write this information down as you may need it in the future.

My application no longer says it is a registered version. How can I reinstall my license?
