Update - 2.6fc1
- Supports printing from within application.
- Images can be previewed with image compression/options applied prior to saving.
- Now released in 2 versions: ScreenShot Pro PPC for Mac OS Classic and ScreenShot Pro for Mac OS with CarbonLib or Mac OS X
Update - v2.5.1
- Files saved in Mac OS X no longer launch Classic to view saved images. This feature was broken in 2.5.
- Fixed a bug that made screen captures in Mac OS X somewhat unstable.
Update - v2.5
- The SSP Users Manual included with this release was written for ScreenShot Pro X 2.0. The following documents what features have been added/modified/removed with version 2.5:
- Version 2.5 now runs on Mac OS X and Mac OS with CarbonLib 1.4 or newer. (Version 2.0 will continue to be available for download for systems running older versions of Mac OS without CarbonLib.)
- Added "User Previous Selection" as a contextual menu available when One-shot or Resizable modes. Automatically selects the previous selection used since the last time ScreenShot Pro was launched.
- Preview Window interface updated to add functionality and to eliminate steps for saving images.
- Resizing image now supports "Oversample" to give images that have been resized a better high quality appearance.
- Rotation of preview images added that supports 90¡ Clockwise, 90¡ Counter-clockwise, 180¡, Flip Horizontal and Flip Vertical.
- Added ability to add captions to images in a number of locations using your own font, size, background color, background transparency, date-stamp, and time-stamp.
- Select the type of image you wish saved on the preview window. This eliminates the "File Type" window/sheet that used to appear before saving a document.
- Custom icons now fully-support 128x128 Thumbnail OS X icons.
- ScreenShot Pro when run under Mac OS now has the ability to enlarge images. This feature can be turned on in Preferences. When running in Mac OS (8.6 or 9), this may require you to increase the memory allocated to SSP. Not having enough memory allocated can create unexpected results such as a blank screen when resizing and/or SSP unexpectedly quitting. We recommend you increase the memory allocation to at least 25,000KB when using this feature. This feature is automatically available in Mac OS X.
- Added "Visit SSP Online..." to the Apple/Application Menu. Use this menu for useful information about ScreenShot Pro such as FAQ's, registration and updates.
- Bug fix from previous versions that caused the menu bar to appear and disappear at incorrect times.
- Fixed a bug in 2.5b1 that caused application to crash when accessing custom captions in Mac OS.
- Removed "Include Menu Bar in Capture" from Preferences. This is now a default behavior in the application.
- Removed version and platform from the file name and folder.
Update - v2.0
- Allows Basic Mode and Advanced Mode (Default)
Advanced Mode allows three methods for selecting an image:
- - One-shot Mode (similar to basic)
- - Resizable (zero in on your image before capturing)
- - Fixed-size (predefine your capture size)
- Advanced Mode includes a Tools Pallet for selecting your method and also shows a magnified view of your cursor's position.
- Captured screen can be highlighted during image selection.
- Cursor position and selection size indicated on-screen.
- Better image-save options include saving with custom icon.
- Added Command-Shift-5 as a way to capture the screen.
- ScreenShot Pro automatically returns to the previous app when image selection is complete.
Update - v1.5.2

- [Classic] Fixed "Black Screen" bug which effected some systems.
